Mabel Vautravers, MSW

They/them

“Being in a relationship is one of the hardest, sweetest, most treacherous, and [also] most rewarding experiences we can have. As people, we need connection the same as we need food and water, which is why it can be so painful when our relationships are in jeopardy. Growing up, most of us never receive the necessary tools to mend our relationship when it begins to buckle under the pressures of life. Together, I want us to figure out how to help you and your beloveds find a way back to each other.”

With extensive experience in a myriad of clinical settings—from tenements to group homes to outpatient counseling—Mabel is intimately acquainted with how the quality of one’s relationship can make or break the quality of one’s life. Whether it be the intensity of an adolescent reacting against a primary caregiver, a young adult replicating the relational patterns they witnessed in their youth, or a middle-aged couple wondering, “How is this happening again?” Mabel brings passion, warmth, optimism, evidence-informed tools, and an irrepressible faith in creative solutions to her couples.
